$6,500
Description
1997 Playcraft 250 DSV with trailer for sale. Boat is lake ready. Plenty of room for family and friends.
The 1997 Playcraft 250 DSV is a fiberglass deck boat (specifically from their "Deck Cruiser" line), not a pontoon. While Playcraft is famous today for high-performance pontoons, the DSV (Deck Sport Vessel) models were their entry into the fiberglass runabout market during the 90s.
A deck boat is essentially a "hybrid" vessel. It is designed to combine the massive floor space and seating capacity of a pontoon with the performance, speed, and handling of a traditional fiberglass runabout (V-hull).
Design Features
- Hybrid Layout: It features the "squared-off" bow of a deck boat to maximize seating, but maintains a deep-V hull design for cutting through chop—perfect for larger lakes like Richland Chambers.
- Amenities: Standard models usually included a small "changing room" or head compartment inside the passenger console, a built-in swim platform with a ladder, and wrap-around cockpit seating.
- Towing: Unlike pontoons of that era, the 250 DSV was built specifically for watersports, offering enough torque and a clean enough wake for skiing and tubing.
